Around British Columbia
I rode from Trail east through Kootenay National Park to Lake Louise Alberta. Up through the Icefields to Jasper then through Grand Cache, Grand Prairie back into BC through Dawson Creek to Tumbler Ridge. I worked there for my regular two weeks and then set off on part two of my journey. I headed west through Prince George, Vanderhoof and Terrace to the west coast and Prince Rupert. From there I caught the BC Ferries MV Northern Expedition south through the Inside Passage of the BC coast. The sights were amazingly spectacular. From the fantastic coastal waters to the towering mountain peaks the scenery was awe inspiring. We landed on the northern tip of Vancouver Island in Port Hardy and the next day I headed south along the coast to Parksville, Nanaimo and Victoria. After another much shorter ferry ride I rode into Vancouver and then west along Highway 3. Out of the traffic and back into some wonderful twisty roads where my Monster was back in the element it seems to enjoy more than any other. Between the purr of the L-Twin breathing through the Zard exhaust, to the Ohlins suspension holding this perfect mix of comfort, performance and beauty to the road like it was on rails, by the time I got home back in Trail my face hurt from the perpetual smile.
