I have been living in England for 9 months now. I started missing my Monster 696 very soon so I decided to bring the bike over riding it all the way from Italy, where the bike was parked. I kept the planning to the minimum. Just a quick look to the maps. I knew I was leaving on Tuesday (July 14) and had to be at the Eurotunnel in Calais by 4 pm on the next Saturday (July 18). 5 days of riding as much as possible on normal roads. I first crossed the Appennini at Passo della Cisa and then the Alps via Claviere. It didn't rain. It was very warm though. 42°C when I arrived in Lyon!! Any adventure is worth its discomfort they say! I did take pictures but what I like the most are the memories of this trip. Like kids waving from the back seats of cars on the road, the amazing Italian roads, the food, la Tour Eiffel, the friends I made on the road. And the 2 valve v-twin music in the background!
